I've worked in the medical device industry for 17 years. It's an exciting business and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I stay excited about what we're doing because our mission is about helping patients, a perspective I can relate to since I had spinal surgery a few months ago. More on that later…

I find that some of the difficult questions that patients ask can be simple for those in the industry to answer. And being a patient, like you, hopefully I will be able to help you with some of the struggles that you are going through. I won't be able to answer any of your medical questions - those should go to your doctor. But I might be able to shed light on facts about technology that may help you with your decision.

A popular topic of this blog will surround your right to access high tech therapies. Believe it or not, your access to health care might not be as safe as you think. So, check out the site frequently to find out what we're talking about. I plan to interview spine surgeons, physical therapists, patients and other industry experts about a variety of topics.

This is a forum for me to share my thoughts with our patients, payors, customers or those interested in medical technology.
